YPR Films
YPR Films is an independent Film Company created in 2010 in the Dominican Republic.
​
The purpose of the Company is to produce impactful, auteur films, fiction and documentaries with a social background, a cinema verité with a female gaze, in the Dominican Republic with international co-production.
Our first feature film JEFFREY was awarded at Toronto International Film Festival 2016 with the Discovery Filmmaker Award and other internationally A list film festival awards.
We recently won Best Short Film at the Locarno Film Festival’s Open Doors program, and our feature project Resistencia has secured production funds from Île-de-France and Brazil, as well as the World Cinema Fund – Strategy Award at Locarno Open Doors.
